If you are a beach or nature lover, it's a great place to explore. Do check online it's tide timing for safe crossing before you head down as you don't want to end up trap on the island. It can get really dangerous to cross if the tide is …
A beautiful scenic beach with a lovely walking trail . Dog friendly and a lovely place to explore with the whole family. Can cross over to the little island to visit historic place and has allocated times of when it's safe to cross over to the historic island to explore . Stunning little beach that connects to Silverknowes beach.
Absolutely awesome place. This is currently one of my favourite places I've seen in the UK 😃 It feels like a dragon will appear from the water or from an island nearby, or Vikings will land 😄 …
Good for a quick getaway, quiet place to walk to and have a family time together when it is low tide you can go to the small island through the pathway.
Enjoyed the beach. We walked along it & checked out the fish rock. It was high tide so unable to walk to the island (our poor planning) but walked along one of the trails instead. Saw an old mill near some waterfalls. It was a nice walk even though we didn’t complete the whole trail as it started raining quite heavy.
Free admission. Clean toilet. It's a good place for a walk and to sit but not to play. If you are with kids and bring stroller you may need to leave stroller somewhere since the path to the island is a bit rough. No accessible way from the …
Of the main promenade or beach is too busy for you and you want a walk, head around and up the river towards Penny Mill and the Cramond Brig. Waterside walks with fewer people and a chance of spotting some birds on the river (and planes overhead)
Cramond is always a great area as it’s a well used public space for walkers, runners and cyclists and people walking their dogs. Sometimes the weather can add to the drama. It’s also fun spotting the planes and trying to identify which airline is coming in to land at Edinburgh Airport.
A lovely beach with real sand. An ice cream truck and a nice walk on a causeway to an island. But caution when the tide comes in you could get stranded on the island. So check the tide chart before venturing out.
It's so beautiful here! Like WOW! My first experience at the North Sea! We went on the beach then tried to walk across the Cramond Island, however the tide came up to fast.
